Mwirigi Releases Debut Track “Grind” Featuring Producer An21

Popular Kenyan comedy sensation Mwirigi is thrilled to release his debut single, “Grind,” featuring the talented producer An21. This exciting new track will be available on all major streaming platforms starting January 12, 2025. Known for his sharp wit and infectious humour, Mwirigi is embarking on a new artistic journey that showcases his versatility as a creative. Having captivated audiences with his relatable comedic prowess, Mwirigi is now set to make waves in the music industry with his long-running interest in rap.

In "Grind," Mwirigi teams up with super producer An21 to relay a powerful message to his fans: that its (I will have to speak Spanish here, I apologise) “posible”.It is possible to follow your dreams and succeed; furthermore, it is okay to do so. The song "Grind" emphasises the importance of perseverance and consistently following one's dreams, highlighting the belief that hard work eventually pays off. "Grind" is a testament to Mwirigi's journey, reflecting his relentless pursuit of success both as a comedian and now as a rap artist. Mixed and mastered by An21, the production, effort, and talent put into this body of work is a testament to the title itself.

Mwirigi reflects,

"Grind is a song I wrote back in 2022. It’s basically about how you should keep on putting in the work even though you don’t see the results yet”

In the song, he says, “So many years na bado sijamake it; I’m still on the grind” The aim of the song is to spread the gospel to fellow dreamers to keep grinding and pushing because nothing ever comes easy.

“We wanted to create a song that reflects the perseverance and hard work required to succeed,” says Mwirigi. “It’s a reflection of our journey and the challenges we’ve overcome.”

The track is a follow-up to the release of the An21 deluxe “B-Side“ album “Underground 10,” a collaborative project with industry underweights. The project that brought together a collective of talented Nairobi creatives acted as a cornerstone for underground artistry in youthful Nairobi.

The B-Side is a follow-up of the original Underground 10 album by An21 which featured seasoned creatives like Tela Wangeci, Denzel Kong,Jodye Faneto, Ouma wa Mafegi, and Otsimi .
